You're only supposed to blow the bloody doors off....

Today is D's birthday - and a few weeks back I found the perfect gift.  An Italian Job Tour around London!!!  What better way to spend a couple of hours - D in an old car - always puts a smile on his face  - and bombing around London - one of our favourite places.

With everything that's been happening over the last few weeks - I can tell you I have been looking forward to this day, for what feels like forever!!  So off we set.....two go wild in London??!!!

I knew when the first train pulled into the station it was going to be a cracking day! Look at the colours on that - shame it wasn't our train!!!

We arrived with time to spare at St. James Park Tube - we sniffed out the pub where we were to meet our guide (amazing how quickly we can sniff out the pubs!).  And, exactly on time, the mini arrived.

Flat caps at the ready, off we went.

All the usual tourist spots, but from a completely different angles, many unusual facts, many unknown facts!!. Some very narrow alley ways much to D's delight, and my 'are we really going to fit down there' squeals!!

After such an amazing morning, we left our flat caps behind, had a light lunch in St. James Park and walked to the Royal Albert Hall.

From there, it was D's second treat of the day.  The No. 9 historic route back to Trafalgar Square using the old route master bus.

After a quick look round some shops, a wonderful evening meal, and short walk along the Thames....

We headed homeward with aching feet and very big smiles.  Happy Birthday D!
