Ripple Love

It's actually very rare that I make something for myself - but after receiving a rather excellent gift of some Debbie Bliss wool for my birthday back in November 2012 - it was not hard to decide what I wanted to make with said wool.

Casting 283 stitches on a train journey - so hard to count that many - my ability to count to four was tested with this pattern so 283 was nearly impossible!!!!  My own journey of Ripple Love began in February 2013.   The colour choice for the first three rows was easy....

The decision as the next ten rows was the hard part....

Calculations were made as to how much I would need for the pattern I had decided on.....and more supplies ordered....

Progression was made on my holidays, in my sick bed last Easter, in the evenings, at my QQ meetings.....

Sometimes with entertainment and refreshments....

Lots of oooohhing and arrring along the way..... half way point...

And decision on what to do with the ends, had to be made...

Hooking outside in my PJ's when the weather allowed, and while guests all slept late after a heavy night.....

Hooking along side a friend, a mini competition started as to who would finish first (I started well before and finished way after just for the record!!)!!

And Ta Dahhhhhhhh....

Nearly 18 months later - of course I have done several projects in between etc etc etc, but here it is in all its technicolour glory......
