Ta Dah...... and here it is again... hopefully saving the best till last!
North Wales: Llanddwyn Island Sunset (Again)
Rude not to when someone else has taken the trouble....
The moon showing itself from behind the cloud ..... the first time since we got here we have seen the moon.... a good sign perhaps.
Ta Dah.....
The cloud cleared for around 30 minutes, we knew it was going to appear above the Ligthhouse where we had set up and were ready to go........so a decision to move to a position further away just as it started to appear gave me this image. As many of you know, who are following my photographic journey.....I generally take so long to set up my shots and choose my setting the images and been and gone before I've pressed the shutter button - however, although not the best composition, I did photograph Milky Way - whoop whoop!!!!
Many lessons learnt tonight.

North Wales: Penmon Point Ligthhouse
Monday 20th: Late Afternoon and Night
A bit of a lay in (up about 9am ish!) after the late night - we did not stay up late enough for Sunrise although it really does feel like we did. A decision was made to find breakfast - our first 'real' meal since Saturday morning!!!
A full 360o Panoramic image of Penmon Point. have to confess a little bit chuffed with this one - I have not done many panoramic and certainly have never done 360o
Experimenting until night time came
Once again - too much cloud for us to see even the stars - may have to be a trip to the supermarket to buy a milky way......
My favourite of the night was my long exposure for the lighthouse....
However, now I've worked the 'Ollie Magic'...
Early morning Finish - tomorrow a day of rest and some processing tuition.
Some experimental processing:

Sunday Night/Monday Morning 20th:
Cloud, cloud and more cloud - not a star in sight let alone the milky way - but a good opportunity to learn the technique and find out what we don't know about our timer releases, and of course a good time to find out if the timer we did bring fits the new camera!!!!
This was my processing attempt during 'class'......
This was my effort with a bit more time........
Goodness much better.....although I still think my foreground could be lighter still. As these are taken during the darkest part of the night, the exposure is different to normal and the final image is all about the processing technique.
Please note: This Island can be cut off by the tide - ensure you check tide times before heading out - or ensure you are prepared to stay until you know you can walk back. Warm clothing and hot drinks required (even in July). Bring your own loo roll.

Not sure if any of these really work but I like them!
Wednesday 22nd: South Stack
I struggled with this location - not that the view and the land wasn't as stunning as elsewhere but the lighthouse did nothing for me - now the saying is - a photographer can make a stunning picture out of anything - perhaps I not there yet!!
